On June 7, A2 Events in partnership with Margaritaville and MPI South FL threw an appreciation luncheon for the teachers of Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School. The theme was "Let's Flamingle" and we incorporated LOTS of tropical details and of course plenty of pink flamingos.
We were thrilled with how the event came together. We had the idea to give back many months ago, and Margaritaville jumped right on board! From the first moment, we all just knew we had to do something spectacular for them. Fast forward to June, and we had 28 different sponsors donate over $80,000 worth of food, beverage, entertainment, decor, and much more.
The teachers, said all they wanted was to have fun and relax after such a long and difficult year. By the end of the event, we had them dancing, hugging, and having a blast. Check out our pictures, to see the fun.
After the event was over, it was obvious to all of us at A2 that the people most impacted by the event was our team. Teachers were hugging and thanking us, but it was a true joy to be able to do this for them. We hope that we were able to bring an afternoon of happiness and little bit of peace to them too!
