Endless Summer | A2's Beach Day

Updated: Jul 22, 2022

Every event comes with its own unique challenges and we work tirelessly to solve them all. So when our partners at the gorgeous, newly-renovated PGA Resort asked us to assist in creating a beach day for their groups even though they're not beachfront, we jumped right in!

Challenge: treat guests to a Tulum-style beach club experience in keeping with the resort's level of luxury.

Obstacle #1: Location

The group wanted to go to the actual beach because they were all coming in from other parts of the country. Unfortunately, the beach can't be permitted for private events with alcohol in most of Palm Beach County, however, the county park system allows for park and pavilion rentals. We scouted several options, working with the parks to get the dates secured and to get our vendors through the approval process. The county park office was in truth a delight to work with, and helped us learn to navigate every necessary step.

Obstacle #2: Pavilion Transformation

While the location of being beachfront can't be beat, the pavilions themselves are very much bare bones. We knew we needed to add lots of decor, delicious catering, and great music to set the tone. Our floral designer added hanging decor & lanterns and we added a plant package to keep it feeling lush. The catering was also incredible and totally complemented the look and feel that we'd created.

Obstacle #3: Beach Essentials

We quickly found that while we can rent a LOT of items for events, items that can be used in the sand for lounging that are lightweight and portable are scarce. Thankfully, our incredible vendor, Chrome Event Furnishings, was willing to allow us to custom-curate a collection for them. We sourced umbrellas, cute sling chairs, and fringe cabanas for this event along with some adorable tables and pillows that we used for another beachfront event. We've always wanted to do a collaboration like this, and it was so much fun seeing it come to fruition!

Because we weren't allowed to have furniture preset on the sand (that whole permitting thing), we hired cabana attendants so that guests wouldn't need to set up their own chairs and umbrellas, keeping them completely taken care of. This meant the county was happy, the client was thrilled, and their guests received top notch service. We can't wait to work with another group on another amazing A2-style beach club!
